A cyclist in his 70s was killed in a collision with a van near Nelson today.
The 76-year-old cyclist died after being taken to hospital, police say.
They are now appealing for witnesses to the crash on Tahunanui Drive about 8.50am.
Both the cyclist and a "light van" were heading north at the time, near Green St.
Police have launched a serious crash investigation.
