Cyclist dies in Christchurch crash

A 77-year-old cyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Christchurch this morning.

Police said the crash happened on the corner of Dickeys Road and Main North roads in suburban Belfast about 9.45am.

The man stopped at a stop sign but then appeared not to see a vehicle and was crossing two lanes of traffic when he was hit.

Police appealed for witnesses.
