A person is dead after a truck and a cyclist collided at a busy Hamilton intersection.
Traffic in the surrounding streets came to a standstill after the crash at the intersection of Te Rapa Straight and Sunshine Ave just after 11.30am yesterday.
Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Philips confirmed the cyclist had died.
was removed from underneath the truck, however the road remained closed for a for another couple of hours.
The Hall's Refrigeration truck appeared to have been turning into Sunshine Ave when the crash occurred.
