A cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he ran into the side of a car crossing an intersection in the Auckland suburb of Avondale.
Police said about 6.30am today the cyclist was heading west when he ran into the side of the vehicle at an intersection heading on Rosebank Rd.
He was treated by ambulance officers before he was taken to Auckland Hospital.
The intersection is partially closed for several hours.
