KEY POINTS:
Cybèle's characteristic simplicity marked the most striking pieces at her show.
Long figure-hugging dresses were composed of feather-shaped pieces of bold orange, turquoise, cream and grey. Oversized tee-shirt and tank style dresses were clean lined and understatedly sexy.
All the designs bore reference to the inspiration for the show: the Kingfisher Halcyon bird, with some references more successful than others.
Interesting winged shapes crept up to hug the waist on tulip skirts and billowing slit sleeves on a slouchy oversized knit jumper interpreted the theme with stunning results.
More complex dresses saw draped grecian necklines and gathered soft silky ruffle fronts bring an unexpected element to the collection.
However other dresses adopted almost cape-like wings, which were tied at the back, and seemed to detract from the simple and flattering shape beneath.
Some incorporated flapping side panels, which may add a few pounds to the waist, as well as those pieces which returned to the bubble/trapeze shapes of previous seasons.
Burnt shades of orange seem to be a strong recurring sight at many shows.
