KEY POINTS:
Some rugby fans have found themselves out of the picture since Sky TV introduced a widescreen format.
Spokesman Tony O'Brien said the company had fielded "a few calls" from people upset about part of the score in the top left corner of the screen being cut off. The Rugby Channel and Sky Movies 1 and 2 have been broadcast in widescreen for some years but Sky Sport 1 and 2 changed only last month. Sky Sport 3 will change soon.
The widescreen format is designed to fit a flat-panel, widescreen set rather than the older, square TV sets which show a 4:3 ratio.
O'Brien said they had chosen to deal with it on a case-by-case basis. "We wouldn't send a note out to 750,000 households for something as minor as that."
