KEY POINTS:
A woman charged with hijacking a plane over the South Island in February has been remanded for a further three weeks for more medical reports and disclosure of the police documents on the case.
Asha Ali Abdille, a 33-year-old Somali, will remain in custody until April 16.
Defence counsel Gerald Lascelles requested the remand at Abdille's appearance before Judge Jacqui Moran in Christchurch District Court today.
A psychiatric report has already been prepared on her, and the previous remand was granted so the defence could get a second opinion on its findings.
Abdille is charged with stabbing three people including the pilot on the Eagle Air flight from Blenheim to Christchurch on February 8 and with attempting to seize control of the aircraft by force.
She has entered no pleas.
Abdille was upset in court during her appearance on March 7, but was calm and composed for the brief appearance today.
