It's almost time for the SPCA's annual Cupcake Day, an opportunity for members of the community to create sweet treats to raise much needed funds.
Since 2008, the SPCA has organised Cupcake Day to fundraise for the over 60,000 animals in the organisation's care each year.
Animal lovers can register to be a 'cupcake cook' online, and download cupcake kits to help get them ready for the annual fundraiser on August 27.
Last year the fundraiser made over $220,000 for the SPCA and its 47 centres nationwide, and the charity's National Chief Executive Robyn Kippenberger can't thank the public enough.
"Cupcake Day is a great way for the public to get involved in a tasty campaign that not only raises much-needed money and awareness, but also brings together New Zealand communities," she said.
