Greytown and Wairarapa College will play off in the final of the Wairarapa Cricket Association's Umpires Cup senior men's inter-club limited-overs competition.
They made the competition decider after beating Red Star and Lansdowne respectively in semi-final games played on Saturday.
Greytown's win over Red Star was by just the one wicket with Red Star batting first and making a respectable 201.Will Rist top scored with 64 while Jared Watt made 32.Paceman Hayden Spierling picked up four wickets for Greytown.
It was Willie Tatham who was the backbone in Greytown's 202-9. He made 79, after being dropped in the 40's while Jason Osborne made 26.
Carwyn Caffell and Jared Watt each took three wickets for Red Star, who still had a good chance of victory when the last two Greytown batsman were at the crease with still four runs required for the win.
Wairarapa College started the underdogs against Lansdowne but made no race of their match, winning by 40 runs.
The students reached 181 in their innings with Lansdowne replying with just 138.
