The purchase of a crushed boy racer car will see a charity benefit by more than $800.
The first car to feel the impact of Crusher Collins' boy racer legislation has been sold on Trade Me by Macauley Metals.
Marketing manager Joanne Rollos says they wanted the money to go into the prevention of continued boy racer activity, and Youthline was it.
"We chose a charity that was useful, as such, they just seemed to be the most fitting one and were really keen to have the support, so it's been great.''
Joanne Rollos says she's not sure what the buyer will do with his purchase.
