The Central League football title for 2012 won't be decided at Howard Booth Park, Carterton, tomorrow but the clash between Wairarapa United and Wellington Olympic seems sure to have a big say in the eventual outcome.
Wairarapa United have a one-point advantage over Olympic at the top of the table and the closeness of them there is very likely to be mirrored by the closeness of this particular match.
After a superb start to the season, Wairarapa United have lost their last two games, to Hutt in a Central League fixture and to Napier City Rovers in a Chatham Cup game, and while good excuses could be offered for both defeats they will be desperate to get back into winning mode.
The return of the experienced and skilful Adam Cowan, who missed the Napier City Rovers game because of a work commitment, will obviously be a big help.
