Hundreds turned out to the Big Welcome BBQ in Masterton on Saturday to greet - and see off - the Georgian Rugby World Cup team.
Wairarapa's Rugby World Cup co-ordinator Catherine Rossiter-Stead said she was "stoked" with the amount of community engagement.
The event held in Queen Elizabeth Park was to continue the celebrations for the Georgians, as well as to thank the community.
There were stalls, live music, a touch tournament, giant inflatable structures for children to play on, and a treasure hunt.
"Many of the stalls are fundraisers to put money back into the community," said Mrs Rossiter-Stead. "It's to give the community a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon."
