KEY POINTS:
New Zealand's new fashion darling, Cybele, delivered a solid winter collection to a packed crowd of fashion wannabes. Utilising her signature printed silks and clever use of drapery the collection saw expected silhouettes from the ultra feminine designer. No doubt come March, these new season prints will adorn the backs of every local fashionista.
BEST BUY: The multi-panel duo fabric leggings. A new take on what has become a wardrobe staple. Buy two pairs for winter (one black, one grey). They'll lift your wardrobe in an instant.
TREND TO WATCH: Metallic mustard. Silver and gold take a back seat to the new metallic hues.
BEST ACCESSORY: Futuristic "Spock" style ankle boots. These are best reserved for standing as walking in them looked to be a little more difficult.
NOT SO HOT: The audience. Guests front row and beyond were seen strutting to their seats as if they were the next Anna Wintour. As the saying goes, the more hype surrounding a designer - the higher maintenance is the crowd.
MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE WEARING SUNGLASSES: Six. Was it because the lights were so bright? Yeah right.
