One person has been critically hurt and had their hand amputated after an incident in Christchurch.
St John sent two ambulances to the scene in Hornby after being called out at 10.37 this morning before transporting one person to Christchurch Hospital.
The person was critically hurt and had their hand "severed/amputated with a skill saw", according to a St John tweet alert.
