A woman who "pushed her way in" to someone's house and attacked the occupant over a dog has been given a supervision sentence.
Cathryn Margaret Martin, 48, went to the victim's house on June 2 and knocked on the front door.
When she got no answer, she went around to the back and "pushed her way in the back door", police prosecutor Sergeant Stephen Butler said in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Martin spoke to the victim in the lounge, saying "Where's my dog?" before jumping on the victim's back to get to the dog.
Martin jammed the victim's finger in the dog's cage.
