Two men armed with a shotgun stole cash from a tavern after forcing the manager to open the safe yesterday morning.
The heavily disguised men were waiting for the woman when she arrived at the Richardson Tavern in Auckland's Mt Albert at about 10am.
They escaped in a silver Audi stolen from Grey Lynn on Friday night. The car was found abandoned in New Windsor.
Neighbour Sasi Indiran said robbery had become common in the area. He said the PostShop opposite the tavern had been raided three times in the last 10 months, twice by armed robbers.
