Police investigating indecent assault in Queenstown

Queenstown Police are investigating an indecent assault which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.50am on Gorge Rd between Robins Rd and Hylton Place in Queenstown.

The female victim in her late 20s was walking home from a function when she was approached and indecently assaulted by a male offender.

He ran north on Gorge Rd following the assault.

The male is described as Asian, in his mid-20s, 170cm tall, clean shaven with black hair.

He was wearing a dark jacket with a light-coloured top underneath, long pants and sneakers.

This type of offending is uncommon in the Queenstown area and police are making inquiries as well as reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
