Police continue to investigate death of woman found on Mt Roskill driveway

Police are still investigating the death of a woman who was found on a Mt Roskill driveway in Auckland yesterday morning.

The 34-year-old was discovered in the early hours of yesterday morning on Frost Road, opposite Mt Roskill Primary School.

Police are attempting to piece together what happened prior to the woman's death and a post-mortem examination would be held today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Armstrong said ambulance officers were called around 1.40am on Sunday.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place and the woman's name will not be released until this has been completed and all next of- kin notified.

"At this stage we are still treating the death as unexplained and hope to provide a further update this afternoon," Armstrong said.

The body was found near a number of businesses and the police are asking for any CCTV footage they might have.

Police cordoned off the area yesterday, a Herald photographer at the scene said a forensics team was there investigating.

"It's being guarded by two officers. Right next to Aussie Butcher. It's an industrial area."
