An elderly woman carjacked outside a large West Auckland shopping centre remains in a stable condition in hospital.
The 62-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury during the attack last Thursday at LynnMall, in New Lynn, after ending up on the ground drifting in and out of consciousness.
An Auckland District Health Board spokeswoman said the woman was in a stable condition in Auckland City Hospital.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested in South Auckland and faced a number of charges.
He appeared in the Youth Court on Friday.
