A teacher's aide accused of assaulting a colleague at Whanganui High School has successfully completed diversion and had his charges dismissed.
Paul Frederick Hardcastle, 61, entered an intimated guilty plea to the charge of common assault when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on June 28.
He was offered the chance to complete diversion and have the matter dismissed.
He had been accused of assaulting a female senior staff member at the school on June 21.
Board of trustees chairman Randal Southee told the Chronicle after the earlier court appearance that Hardcastle had resigned since the incident.
