Chance to free woman missed

The California Attorney-General's office says parole agents spoke to the woman who was held captive for 18 years by a paroled rapist, but never bothered to follow up.

Jaycee Dugard, now 30, says agents spoke to her during her captivity, and to the older of the two daughters she bore to Phillip Garrido.

He has denied kidnapping and raping Dugard, who was 11 when she vanished.
