Cricket fan Stu Chapman pulled off a spectacular one-handed catch under pressure last night as the Black Caps scraped home against Bangladesh in their final Cricket World Cup pool game.
He was mobbed by fellow Tui shirt-wearing fans after collecting the catch off New Zealand batsman Corey Anderson, who was out the next ball.
Mr Chapman now has the chance to share a potential million dollars if the Black Caps go all the way.
It was another nail-biter for Black Caps fans, who watched New Zealand stutter in their chase to haul down Bangladesh's 288 for 7 at Hamilton's Seddon Park. At one point New Zealand seemed to be cruising at 210 for 3 but as the wickets kept falling, bowlers Tim Southee and Daniel Vettori had to get 19 runs from the last 14 balls.
Southee put the match beyond doubt by smashing a six and a four off consecutive balls.
