One person had to be treated for smoke inhalation following a suspicious fire in Wellington last night.
Fire service central communications shift manager Mike Wanoa said crews were called to the blaze, on Robert St, Tawa, just before 9pm.
Mr Wanoa said the blaze was "well involved" on arrival, and it took firefighters about an hour and a half to extinguish it.
He said the fire was considered suspicious and police are investigating.
A police guard remained at the scene overnight.
