A truck loading a train pulled power lines down in Onehunga this afternoon, causing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
One motorist has described "crazy traffic" in the area around Captain Springs Rd and Church St in the southern Auckland suburb.
Vector, police and the Fire Service are all at the scene.
A Fire Service spokesman said the truck was loading a train when it became tangled with the power lines and pulled them down shortly before 2.30pm
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle while the power was turned off, but was unharmed.
