A 50-year-old woman remained in hospital yesterday with a suspected fractured pelvis after a small passenger plane crashed in a Great Barrier Island swamp on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman and the plane's pilot were flown to Auckland City Hospital after the crash of the Great Barrier Airlines plane.
The airline's deputy operations manager, Mike Maguire, said the woman was likely to remain in hospital until the end of the week.
The pilot received injuries to his face and vertebrae but was recovering at home yesterday.
The other four passengers escaped with minor injuries.
