A man has been taken to Wellington Hospital with suspected chest, neck and head injuries after he was thrown from his ute in a crash this morning.
Emergency services were called to Masterton Castlepoint Rd, near Tinui, about 4am, where the ute had crashed about 4 metres down a small bank.
The 40-year-old driver, from Masterton, had been thrown from the vehicle.
Ambulance and fire service treated the man at the scene, before the Life Flight Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew the man to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department.
Life Flight crewman Logan Taylor said the man had suspected chest injuries and possible head and neck injuries.
