Robbers crashed a car last night after an armed robbery at a service station.
Police said two offenders entered the Caltex service station on Great South Rd, Manurewa, near Mahia Rd, with a firearm. They allegedly demanded cigarettes and money.
Shortly before midnight they fled the scene in Nissan Laurel driven by a third person.
The car crashed shortly after with a parked vehicle in Mahia Road.
Police were investigating and asked any witnesses to either the robbery or the car crash to phone Manukau police on 092950200 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
