An Auckland bus driver facing charges after a crash that killed one of his passengers has continued driving buses as he awaits the outcome of his case.
Alistair Graham Shaw, 37, was due to appear in the Westport District Court last week to face charges of careless driving causing death and careless driving causing injury, but was excused.
The charges were laid after a Stray Travel coach driven by Shaw and carrying 17 foreign tourists went off a stretch of highway on the West Coast in February.
A 62-year-old British tourist was killed in the crash.
Shaw has yet to enter a plea to the charges.
