Crash closes Lindis Pass

One person has critical injuries and eight others are "walking wounded" following a crash in the Lindis Pass, Central Otago, tonight.

A police spokesman said the road was closed following a collision between a camper van and a car.

Police, fire and ambulance were in attendance, and air ambulances from Dunedin and Christchurch were en route to the scene.

It was not known how long the road would be closed.
