Waikato Regional Council officials have been called to a crash scene on the outskirts of Hamilton after containers of chemicals spilled from the vehicle and into a stream.
Northern fire communications shift manager Megan Ruru said the vehicle crashed and rolled south of the intersection of State Highway 39 and Finlayson Rd just after 7am today.
Although the driver appeared uninjured, some of the vehicle's contents had landed in the stream.
Hamilton firefighters had called Waikato Regional Council staff to attend and pick up the chemicals which appeared to be various detergents.
"The containers have been removed from the waterway but council staff still need to attend and remove the chemicals from the scene."
