Crash boy improving

A boy injured in a collision between cars taking children to school on Monday is in a stable condition and recovering in hospital.

The 8-year-old and his 41-year-old mother were hurt in the head-on crash at Papakura.

She is also in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital.
