KEY POINTS:
A movable crane caught fire at Bledisloe Wharf in Auckland this morning.
The fire started in the moveable crane's engine but Ports of Auckland spokeswoman Megan Hopkins-Stone said the cause was not yet known.
Ms Hopkins-Stone said six fire engines attended the fire, which was put out in about 45 minutes.
She said the driver was not injured.
The moveable crane has only been with the ports company for a month. Another 35 of the cranes have been taken out of service for inspection, Ms Hopkins-Stone said.
