Conservative Party Leader Colin Craig has tipped a further $350,000 into his tilt at Parliament taking his total financial commitment to his campaign to more than $1 million.
Recent filings to the Electoral Commission to whom parties must report and identify the source of donations in excess of $30,000 show Mr Craig put $250,000 into his campaign on August 21 and a further $100,000 six days later.
On top of his previous $890,000 in donations, that takes his total financial commitment to $1.24 million.
Figures also show Mainfreight chairman Bruce Plested donated a further $100,000 to the Maori Party last month on top of the $110,000 he donated earlier this year through his company Rorohara Farms Ltd.
Other big recent donations include $40,000 to the Labour Party from the NZ Dairy Workers Union late last month.
