A student at St Anne's Catholic primary school in Manurewa has tested positive for Covid, forcing a further 25 pupils and three staff to get tested and self-isolate.
Principal Glen Ryan told the Herald the school was notified of the result on Monday afternoon, December 6, after the student was tested on Saturday December 4.
The pupil last attended the school on Thursday December 2, Ryan said.
Twenty five students and three staff from the same school bubble had been identified and were considered close contacts, he said.
All contacts had wore masks and all staff were fully vaccinated, Ryan said.
