The owner of a dog that mauled a 6-year-old boy was himself attacked by a dog when he was a child.
Justin Taylor Anderson, 29, of Murupara was ordered to pay $250 reparation to the family of the child after previously pleading guilty to owning a dog that caused serious injury to a person.
Anderson's lawyer told the Rotorua District Court that he had been attacked by a dog when he was 4.
