The Masterton District Court will be closed on Monday, September 15, from 10.30am-2pm so that the judiciary, court staff, lawyers and court users are able to attend the funeral of prominent Wairarapa barrister Louise Elder, who died at home on Monday morning, days after undergoing surgery in Wellington for an aneurysm. The Registrar's list will still run from 9.15am, with the criminal list to begin at 2.15pm, Judge Geoffrey Ellis presiding.
