A woman's 10-year battle for compensation from ACC over an unwanted pregnancy has hit another hurdle.
The woman, who fell pregnant in 2006 after a failed sterilisation operation eight years earlier, took ACC to court.
She won and received six weeks compensation from the corporation, but thought she should get more, as the damages didn't end for her at the birth of the child.
The woman says she was unable to return to her former employment because of her parenting responsibilities.
But the High Court has rejected her latest appeal, with the judge telling the court the costs of raising a healthy child can't fall on ACC levy-payers.
