A Taupo teenager who injured two cyclists while driving on a revoked licence has had his court hearing delayed.
Jordan Lee Dobbyn, 18, has already pleaded guilty to two counts of careless driving causing injury after he hit and injured cyclists David Joyce and his wife Sirpa Lajunen on Poihipi Rd, near Taupo in May.
Mr Joyce suffered a cracked vertebra and shoulder blade, a dislocated rib and a large cut. His wife suffered back injuries.
Dobbyn pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving while his licence was revoked. He was due to reappear in the Taupo District Court today for a defended hearing on that charge, and sentencing on the other two charges, but a judge was unavailable. A new hearing date has not yet been set.
