KEY POINTS:
A bomb threat forced the evacuation of the Whangarei District Court and surrounding buildings for nearly three hours this morning.
Police searched the court but found nothing suspicious and people were allowed back into court at 12.15 this afternoon.
Police spokeswoman Sarah Kennett said the call was made from a pay phone in Bank St in Whangarei at 9.39am.
She said police are asking for information from any members of the public who saw anyone acting suspiciously about 9.30am around the phone box on Bank Street, opposite the Whangarei Primary School.
