Police continue to hunt for a man who knocked a police prosecutor unconscious after jumping the dock at the Lower Hutt District Court.
Authorities are this morning still on the lookout for 23-year-old Sabbath Tane Hendrix Mohi, who faces charges of possession of an offensive weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and assault.
Mohi jumped the dock during his appearance and ran out of the court about 3.50pm yesterday, a police spokesman said.
The prosecutor gave chase, but Mohi assaulted him and knocked him unconscious. The officer has been taken to hospital for observation.
Police yesterday searched the surrounding area but did not find Mohi.
