Freelance photographer Geoff Walker will have to wait until next week to learn the outcome of his High Court bid to block publication of his photos of the final moments in the Carterton balloon tragedy, in which 11 people died.
Mr Walker told the Times-Age the case, which was to have been heard in the Wellington High Court on Wednesday, would take place today.
Mr Walker's photos were provided to police for crash investigation purposes, but have not been made public.
His stance, on the grounds of copyright and not wanting to have graphic photos publicised, has been praised by fellow photographers.
Posters to the Times-Age Facebook page have overwhelmingly supported his stand.
