Court appearance over Hamilton murder

A 25-year-old murder accused was given name suppression and bailed yesterday.

The man is accused of murdering Carl Mitchell Williams, 32, of Hamilton, who died after an apparent fight at a house in Queens Avenue, Frankton at the weekend.

Ambulance staff were called to the house about 1am on Sunday to treat Mr Williams who died by the time police arrived.

The accused will reappear in Hamilton District Court next month.
