KEY POINTS:
Christchurch City Council has decided how it will deal with the sort of disruptive youths who forced the closure of a public swimming pool.
The Belfast Pool reopens today after being closed for four days just before Christmas, when a lifeguard was forced to quit after feeling intimidated by a group of youths.
Two-year long trespass notices will now be issued in the future to any youths behaving in a threatening way towards staff at any of the council-owned pools. The pool will also have support from local police and the community.
