The Auckland Council is again going to court today in a bid to remove Occupy Auckland protestors from Aotea Square for good.
The council tried to get an interim injunction last Tuesday but Judge David Wilson ruled the campaigners hadn't had enough time to prepare.
Crown Prosecutor Ross Burns says protestors have had two months in the square, which is more than enough time to get their views across.
"To pick up possibly the only decent significant grassed space in that area is just simply unreasonable because it means other people can't use it while eating their lunch or playing football," he says.
Mr Burns says security and fencing has cost over $48,000 and grass replacement will cost over $65,000.
