Do you have what it takes to complete a five-hour obstacle course that includes navigating earthquakes, mud slides, a motorway pile up and tracking and rescuing a patient?
A new charity event in Auckland is giving you the chance.
The Rescue Run is raising money for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust by inviting teams to compete in the event, which is the first of its kind in the world.
At Woodhill Forest on November 19, the run will involve mixed teams of six tracking and rescuing one of their team members, navigating simulated natural disasters and other obstacles.
Designed by rescue workers, the course is expected to take three to five hours with each team having to raise $5000 to enter. Each rescue mission by the chopper costs about $5000.
