KEY POINTS:
Stacey Jones, Alison Mau and driver Tim Porteous have a burn on a motorised couch, which is being used to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation and Variety - the Children's Charity.
The lime-green couch is part of a nationwide tour launched by Limelight, a new online directory service that provides benefits for New Zealand charities.
Limelight helps businesses support their local communities by giving about a third of all their advertising revenue to non-profit organisations and charities.
League great Jones and television presenter Alison Mau - who is the Limelight community editor- are on board to support the tour.
The charity couch tour will begin in Kaitaia today and go as far south as Bluff, before returning to Auckland on June 19.
Director Andrew Josephson said: "Most local businesses want to support their communities and help charitable causes.
"Limelight makes it easy for them to do this and to market themselves at the same time. It's a win-win for everyone."
