A leading Kiwi children's equipment retailer is recalling up to 1000 cots amid safety concerns.
Babycity has issued a recall notice to customers who bought one of two different models of Milano cots between March 2012 and October last year as the cots could have a potential snag hazard.
Trevor Douthett, managing director of Babycity, said after seeing the results of some recent independent testing done on the products the company had decided to undertake the recall.
The company had received earlier test results attesting to their meeting of safety standards but the recent results raised some concerns for child safety, he added.
Babycity is recalling its Milano Phoenix cot and Milano Sleigh cot, formerly sold under the Baby Max brand, which cost $300-$500 each.
