Correspondence School teachers and support staff face an anxious wait before finding out today the extent of job losses under a major restructure.
A board meeting on Friday was expected to approve wide-ranging restructuring plans, rumoured to include up to 120 job losses. The school's management needs to deal with a $5 million deficit.
It has been proposed that children with good support systems at home will no longer receive home visits.
Students, such as those excluded from the mainstream and with poor support systems, will get more help.
The school employs about 500 staff.
