Authorities continue their investigations into the cause of a huge fire that destroyed several homes on the Coromandel Peninsula this week.
Police said this afternoon officers and the Fire Service were still investigating the circumstances of the blaze, which started on Tuesday at Kaimarama.
The fire ripped through about 70ha of bush and scrub and destroyed a number of homes in the area.
