An Auckland police officer is facing sexual assault charges.
The officer was stood down from Counties Manukau police five months ago while the allegations were investigated, One News reported tonight.
Constable Ethan Brown appeared in court earlier this week facing indecent assault and sexual violation charges arising from incidents involving two different complainants in January and September last year.
His occupation was left off his charge sheets in what police called an administrative error.
It was not clear whether he was on duty at the time of the alleged incidents.
